Ageless Men, Hairy Women Pt 2.

As a fitness model, I am very picky with what I put in my body and on my body. “Why”?  The food you eat and essentials you use on your body are two of the most common links to having clear skin. You are probably thinking that models shouldn’t worry about having flawless skin because  that’s Photoshop is for. Yeah I can understand that, but that it may take hours for even the best photographers such Tim Corey http://timcoreyphotography.com/ and Nicolas Allen to  create a masterpiece. I love my photographers so to show them how much I appreciate them I take care of my skin.
This blog is dedicated Facebookers and “Text Me a Pic” addicts.  I know how important it is to you to for to have the perfect profile. I mean you never know that ex may decide to look back. When he does… BAM watch out!!! You have permission to say “Suuucckkka yelp yelp you really missed out”!!!  It is my pleasure to help you make that person feel like poop for dumping you. Below are steps and products lines to you get that front cover magazine model skin look.

How to Wash face
Remember choose products free from Parabens, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Laureth Sulfate etc as I blog about earlier. Products that are EWG approved. Such as Avalon Organics, Jason Natural and Desert Essences
Avoid Bar soaps when washing the face.  It will dry out your delicate skin.
Remember these 3 easy steps: Cleanse, Tone, Moisturize
1.       Cleansing
a.        Splash face with lukewarm water( never use extreme temperatures)
b.      Put a nickel size amount of cleanser in the palm of your hand
c.       Rub hands together while wet
d.      Apply your hands on face
e.      Gently in a circular motion wash face (don’t forget hairline, size of nose and neck) 30 seconds to 1 minute
f.        Rinse ( cold water but not too cold)
g.       Pat dry
Exfoliate or mask (to remove oily residue and tighten pores)  For oily skin I recommend to applying 2 to 3 times a week
2.      Tone (I like to use on my back as well)
3.      Moisturize
Recipe for Natural Exfoliating Mask
1 tbs finely ground oats
1 tsp warm honey
1 drop of carrot seed oil or essential oil
1 tsp of herbal liquid tea
Directions: Mash oats, honey and tea into a thin paste. Stir in oil. Apply to face, avoiding eyes and mouth. Leave on for 5-30 minutes. Don’t allow mask to dry out. Wash mask off with lukewarm water. Pat face to dry.
Bags and Dark circles: Place a slice of cucumbers, potatoes on wet tea bag on eyes

Ageless Men, Hairy Women

Every year I celebrate my “Half” Birthday and when it is my birthday I tell people I’m a year older than what I really am. “What world?!!” you say. I know I know after 25 everyone wishes they are younger. But for me I love getting old!!! Why? The older I become, younger I feel. I find it funny when people try to guess my age. They always guess around  the age of 15, 16, or 17. Gosh not even 18!!! At first I was really bummed out and depressed about not looking older. Then I thought to myself.. “hmm this is a good thing. By the age of 40 I’ll look 20 and by 50 I’ll look 30. 3 Snaps... I Got it Goin’ On!!!”  So what’s my secret for staying and looking younger?

1. I eat clean
2. I Exercise
3. I use natural body and skin care products.

I am going to share with you the reason why I not only check the ingredients on food but in personal care products. Many of our non essential products contain toxic chemicals that are very damaging to our skin, and health..

Some of the most common are:

Preservatives aka Parabens- Linked to Cancer. Look out for these methyl, propyl, butyl and ethyl (alkyl-p-hydroxybenzoates)

Sodium Lauryl Sulfate and Laureth Sulfate--- The same detergents used at a carwash are used on your skin. This ingredient stripes away protective oil on you skin. Can cause hair lose, rashes and infections.

Synthetic Fragrances- Can trigger asthma attacks

Aluminum- A Carcinogenic

Lead and Mercury- Can cause nervous system and brain damage

P Phenylenediamine- Carcinogenic, triggers allergies, and can interfere with the development of a child if pregnant.  If exposed to the eyes it may cause blindness.

Silica- Carcinogenic

Coal tar colors- Carcinogenic

I know right now some of you just discovered all your products contain these ingredients. Calm down, don’t worry this is why I am here. I want to help you . So stay tune. In the next couple of blogs, I will give you home skin care remedies, and introduce you ton of natural products. A lot of these lines EWG approved. So you guys don’t be discourage this is going to be a smooth transition to a youthful, and healthy lifestyle.
